Polynesian, Aztec, Taino, Inca tattoos: what is the difference?
POLYNESIAN TATTOOS:
Ancient tattoos of the people of Oceania, Australia, Samoa, Hawaii, Polynesian islands. It is a very popular style because several sports and film figures wear Polynesian tattoos: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (wrestler and film actor), Tim Cahill (Australian football player), Roman Reigns (American football player and fighter) and more. In a tattoo like these we can add symbols of strength, ocean waves, good luck, protection, eternal life, wisdom and more…
Also we can add modern symbols to tell the story of each customer such as military logos, professions, dates, names in the same tribal style.
AZTEC TATTOOS
Aztecs are an ethnic group of central Mexico, particularly those groups who spoke the Nahuatl language and who dominated large parts of Mesoamerica from the 14th to 16th centuries. The Aztecs settled down in the swampy land around Lake Texcoco, Valley of Mexico.
In this style of tattoos we can make Aztec Calendars, feathered serpent (Quetzalcoatl), Nahui Ollin God (eye), Jaguar warrior, Aztec skull warrior, pyramids, ornaments, and much more…
TAINO TATTOOS
The Tainos were inhabitants of the islands of Puerto Rico, Republica Dominicana and others. An ancient culture with a splendid art to create tattoos. In this style we can make Taino suns, Coqui frogs, Cemi god, goddess, spiral designs and Taino ornaments, and more. Also, we can add a Puerto Rico or Rep. Dominicana flag in this same tribal style. I call this style “Taino colored” tattoos.
TRIBAL TATTOOS: classic style
This is a classic tattoo style, made up of twirls, spirals, generally thick, ending in fine points. With many enveloping rhythms that adjust to the shapes of the area of the body where they will be tattooed.

Can these tattoo styles be combined?
Many people want these style of Taino tattoos combined with Polynesian symbols of strength, shark teeth, ocean waves and spearheads, the style that I call “Taino mixed” tattoos.
