Based on the Marquesan tattoo style of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tattoos, in this style we can make the classic Polynesian designs of strength, spearheads, ocean waves, with recognizable designs, such as turtles (family symbol), sun, warrior skulls, marriage symbol, fish hook, manta ray…

This is a photo sent by a client – inked at a local tattoo shop – who created these tattoo designs with me through this website: two forearm tattoos in Polynesian/Aztec style, in the same style as the existing shoulder tattoos of the client.
Forearm Tattoo in Polynesian Style
Custom tattoo in Polynesian style with a turtle into a sun, a couple of geckos (good luck symbol), shark teeth, spearheads, tiki face, Marquesan crosses and more to tell the story of this customer.

In this Polynesian style I do strips of Polynesian designs: ocean waves, shak teeth, spearheads, solid black areas, stones, and “Koru” designs (spirals representing ancestors), turtle shells…
Some clients want this style for their tattoos, adding a main design like a turtle, sun, skull, manta ray, gecko, and/or any personal symbol or designs in the outer and/or inner forearm.
Forearm Tattoo Design in Maori Style
In this Polynesian style we can see clear lines, recognizable and rounded figures such as tiki faces (on side face), animals like turtles, sharks, stingray; symbols like marquesan crosses and geckos…all designed by thin and curved lines, without solid black areas…
