Tattoo Design Samples by Style
Polynesian Tattoo Style:
Polynesian tattoos are very popular. This style is typical of Polynesia, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, and Oceania. With the right symbols, you can tell your own story: ancestors, parents, friends, children, marriage, personal characteristics, wishes… You can also, in a more eclectic style, subtly incorporate modern symbols, dates, names, and more within the tattoo.

This is a Custom Polynesian Tattoo Design created by me for a customer of this web, according the wishes of this client.

Celtic Tattoo Style:
Celtic tattoos are characterized by intricate and beautiful Celtic knots, braided ribbons perhaps imitating the weaving and/or basketry of the ancient Celtic people. They feature ornamental designs, animals, crosses, and ancient symbols representing strength, passion, and heritage.

Taino/Boricua/Puerto Rico Tattoo Style:
Taino tattoos are typical of the culture of the Antilles, the islands of Central America. They are very popular with my clients to express and honor their “Boriquen” roots, from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. We also often include modern elements such as flags, the national flower of Puerto Rico, El Morro, coats of arms from different provinces and regions, etc.

…and the same tattoo style mixed with Polynesian and Tribal designs:

Aztec Tattoo Style:
The Aztec tattoo style resembles stone carvings, paying homage to the magnificent artwork of the ancient people of Majico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Central America. Calendars (Sun Stones), warrior skulls, temples, ancient symbols and ornaments, Quetzalcoatl (feathered serpents), and other Aztec deities are all part of this style.

Haida Tattoo Style:
Haida tattoos refer to the designs of that North American culture, from areas of Canada, Alaska, the Haida Gwaii archipelago, British Columbia… They feature animal designs and ornaments in this very particular and beautiful style.

African Adinkra Tattoo Style:
African tattoos combine ancient Adinkra designs in tribal style with modern African symbols such as masks, shields, spears, maps of Africa, flags… according to the wishes of each client.
